ABELL DROPS DRASKOVIC IN 2ND ROUND KO

Gothenburg, Sweden. In his third visit in 14 months, Joey Abell once again found the Scandinavian climate to his liking knocking out Ratko Draskovic (28-8-2) in the first minute of the second round. Abell, a fan favorite in Sweden, said he much prefers the Minnesota like temperature in Sweden than the muggy heat he experienced in St. Lucia last November where he won a ten round decision over Teke Oruth. Joey came out strong in the first round dropping Draskovic with a flurry of punch’s late in the round. Ratko was unable to totally recover in the second and got tagged with Joey’s patented right hook sending the big Montenegrian to the canvas with such a thud it was heard in Stockholm.
